The site has definitely changed, all for the better, as well as I can tell on this first day back. However, the subjects about which we write on this site have not changed, or worse than that, they've changed for the worse. I am most tickled to have found a very kindred spirit in the featured blogger Crawfish. It's just an uplifting experience to find other Americans who are insightful enough to see that we, the people must abandon them, the parties and take back the governance of our government from the professional politicians and the capitalists corrupting capitalism.
As we delve deeper into this election period, let's quit dwelling so on the ridiculous beauty contest that is the Presidential campaign and concentrate on Congressional and Senatorial races. Those are the offices that really matter, and about which we, the people might actually have some impact as early as this year's elections. These three remaining hacks left running aren't going to be the major parties' nominees. Frail bodied and feeble minded John McCain is (I hope) going to drop dead from the stress and strain at or before the Repulsican convention, and the man I predicted would be the Repulsican nominee over two years ago will be the Repulsican nominee. As for the Democraps, the party powers who be will realize that neither Hitlary or Hussein have sufficient delegate support for a clear victory and they don't really want either of the two of those hideous hacks as their representative, so those power brokers will broker a deal that will give the Goracle a chance to do what Nixon did forty years ago. Regardless of whom the Demicans and Republocrats do nominate for President and Vice-President, Congress, and Senate; regardless of runs by such as Ralph Nader or Dr. James Dobson, and assuming that the lunk-headed Libertarians are not going to get back on the ballot in my state, I shall be writing in Colin Powell and Herman Cain for Prez and Veep, my local community merchant for Congress, and myself for Senate.
